Admissions: Engineering and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (EAMCET AC-2013, SW – III )

Admissions are opened through Engineering and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is conducted by Consortium of Association, Approved by AFRC, Recognized by APSCHE. This examination is the prerequisite for admission into various professional courses offered in Private Colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility
Eligibility to Appear for EAMCET AC-2012:
Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for EAMCET AC – 2012
a. Candidates should be of Indian Nationality or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.
b. Candidates should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy local / non-local status requirements as laid down in the A.P.
Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974 as subsequently amended. (See Annexure III)
c. Candidates should obtain at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belongs to reserved category) in qualifying degree examination

For Engineering, B. Pharmacy: 
Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, along with bridge course or courses conducted by it for candidates enrolled during 2000-2002 and subsequent batches, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh.
OR, Candidates should have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, A.P. In the case of Engineering, Pharmacy courses, candidates should have completed 16 years of age by the date of commencement of admissions or on such other date as may be notified by the common entrance test committee.
There is no upper age limit.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs), Presently the JNVs are spread in 27 States and 7 Union Territories. These are co-educational residential schools fully financed and administered by Government of India through an autonomous organization, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

 

Admissions in JNVs are made through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) at Class 6. The medium of instruction in JNVs is the mother tongue or regional language up to Class 8 and English thereafter for Maths and Science and Hindi for Social Science. Students of the JNVs appear for 10th and 12th class examinations of the Central Board of Secondary Education. While education in the schools is free including boarding, lodging, uniforms and textbooks, a nominal fee of Rs.200/- per month will have to be paid by the children from IX to XII class. SC/ST, Girls and Physically Handicapped and from the families whose income is below poverty line are exempted from payment of fees.

 

State wise JNVS:

Accordingly to the Navodaya Vidyalaya Scheme, one Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is to be set up in each District in a phased manner. At present, there are 595 Vidyalayas are sanctioned in 27 States and 7 Union Territories out of which 583 are functioning.

 

Exam Conducted on February 10th, 2013 at 9.30 A.M. in the State of Andhra  Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, West Bengal (except Darjeeling) Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh (except Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmour, Kullu, Lahaul & Spiti and Shimla Districts), Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh (except Tawang District), Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep and Pondicherry .

 

Result of the Selection Test

The result of JNVST 2013 is expected to be announced by end of May of the year of admission. The result will be displayed in the offices of the concerned (i) Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (ii) District Education Officer (iii) District Magistrate (iv) Deputy Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti of the Region. The Principal, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya concerned, will also inform the selected candidates through registered post.

EAMCET-2013: Admission into Engineering, Agriculture and Medical courses

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) invites applications for the entrance exam of Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test-2013. To admission into the first year under graduate professional courses offered for academic year 2013-14 in the University and Private unaided and affiliated Professional colleges in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

Ranking Criteria: 

The candidates who have secured qualifying marks in EAMCET and candidates belonging to the category of Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe, for whom qualifying marks have not been prescribed, shall be assigned ranking in the order of merit on the basis of combined score obtained by giving 75% weightage to the marks secured in EAMCET and 25% weightage to the marks secured in the relevant group subjects namely Mathematics or Biology, Physics, Chemistry of the qualifying examination.

  • Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology as optionals or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology or any other examination recognized as equivalent
  • Candidate must obtain at least 45% of marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together at 10+2
  • In the case of Engineering and Pharmacy courses, candidates must have completed 16 years of age, as on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit
  • In the case of BTech (Dairy Technology), BTech. (Ag. Engineering), BTech. (FST) and B.Sc. (CA & BM), Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of SC and ST candidates as on 31st December of the year Admissions

For B.Sc. (Ag.) / B.Sc. (Hort.) / B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.F.Sc. and for remaining 50% seats in BTech. (FST) / B.Sc. (CA & BM) Courses:

Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of 10+2 pattern or any examination
recognized as equivalent thereto with any two / three of the subjects indicated against each course noted below:

  • Note: (1) Irrespective of the subjects taken at the qualifying examination, candidates seeking admission to the above courses should appear for Biology, Physics and Chemistry in EAMCET
  • Age: Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of SC and ST candidates as on 31st December of the year of Admissions

For MBBS / BDS Courses (as per GO Ms.No. 195 dated 07-07-2011):

(i) Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of the 10+2 pattern or
equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) / Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained 50% marks taken together at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to ST / SC and BC the marks obtained shall be a minimum of 40% marks

(ii) Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission

For BAMS / BHMS / BNYS Courses:

(i) Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology as optional which shall include a practical test in each subject

(ii) Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission and there is no maximum age limit for admission into BAMS / BHMS

For admission into BNYS course, candidates must not have completed 22 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. For SC and ST candidates the maximum age limit shall be extended by 3 years

For B. Pharmacy Course: (Remaining 50 % of the seats):

(i) Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of the 10+2 with Physics,
Chemistry and Biology optionals

(ii) Candidates must obtain at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination

(iii) Candidates must have completed 16 years of Age by the date of commencement of Admissions. There is no upper age limit

For Pharm – D Course (50% seats for M.P.C and 50% seats for Bi.P.C candidates):

(i) Candidates must have passed or appeared for the final year of 10+2 with Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology optionals or must have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma examination in Pharmacy course conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State
Board of Technical Education and Training or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Andhra Pradesh State Board of Technical Education and Training

(ii) Candidates must obtain at least 45 % marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination

(iii) Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission to the course
