Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE-2013) :Admissions

Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE-2013) 1,66,978 candidates have registered for VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) to be held from April 15 to 24, 2013 for  admission into the BTech programme offered by Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University, Vellore, Tamilnadu.

 

For the first time the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be organised in 112 cities at 130 centres in India and  overseas in Dubai and Kuwait. Of these, 1,35,024 candidates are boys and 31,954 are girls.

 

Andhra Pradesh tops with 33,170 registrations which includes 23,867 males. Second on the list is Uttar Pradesh with 25,692 registrations followed by Bihar with 18,810, Rajasthan with 11,845 and Tamil Nadu with 10,480 registration.

 

While Delhi has registered 11,728 candidates who will give the entrance examination in its four centres, Chennai has registered 4,804 candidates and Vellore 2,097.

 

The counseling for admissions will begin from May 13to 18, 2013, with each day divided by the ranks in  ascending order. Counseling for those with ranks up to 5,000 will be held on May 13, followed by those with ranks up to 9,000 on May 14, 2013.

 

 

There are also special scholarship provisions for students. Central and State board toppers would be awarded  a 100% fee waiver for all four years. VITEEE ranks holders between 1 and 50 will be given 75% fee waiver,   while those in the bracket of 51 to 100 will be given 50% and between 101 and 1,000 will be awarded a scholarship to the tune of Rs 95,000.

How to obtain Admission 2013 Registration Form?

Online Registration can be done at the University’s website www.auadmission.co.in and candidates can  submit it without having to visit the University for collecting and submitting the form. OMR Forms along with information  booklet will also be available from Pravesh Bhawan, Chaitham Lines, University of Allahabad, Allahabad-211002 U.P. on all working days between 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on cash payment:

 

Fee:

1) For UG & PG Courses: Rs. 600/- for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 300/- for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled  Tribe and Differentially Able applicants.

 

 

2) For Diploma: Rs. 300/- for all candidates.

Online registration at website www.auadmission.co.in is starting from 16th March, 2013 and sale of OMR forms from Pravesh Bhawan will start from 19th March, 2013. Last date of online submission and submission of OMR form is 30th April,2013.

Admit Card:

ALL Admit Cards will be uploaded for all the valid applications by 25th May, 2013. University will not be sending any admit card by post or distribute them from the counters.

 

 

Test Centres:

Test Centre will be at Allahabad only. The name of the Test Centers will be explicitly written on the Admit Card of the applicant and will not be changed in any case. No traveling allowances will be paid to the applicant appearing in the Test. If the total number of candidates for a particular centre is not sufficient then the University reserves the right to cancel that centre and allocate the nearest centre to such candidates.
