Applications are invited for admission into the 21st batch of PGCCPD. This course has been designed to provide soft skills to enable candidates to compete for jobs in open market and for higher studies at Centre for Research and Education for Social Development (CREST):
Eligibility:
Out of the forty seats available for the course, 28 are reserved for SC, 8 for ST and 4 for OEC/OBC. Admission is based on Degree level marks, and interview. Masters/ Professional degree holders will be given preference. Those who have secured CGPA grades at Degree/PG Degree should give the actual percentage of marks obtained with sufficient proof thereof. If eligible candidates from ST/ OEC/OBC are not available, the seats will be filled up by eligible SC candidates. Selected candidates will be given Rs.5000/- to meet their accommodation & food expenses. Maximum age limit for application is 28 years as on November 01st 2013. Only candidates from Kerala need apply.

Eligibility:

IASST Guwahati: PhD

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the its Ph.D. Programme in the areas of basic and industrial applications of plasma, pure and applied mathematics, statistics, nano-chemistry and polymer sciences, microbial biodiversity, beneficial microorganisms-macro-organisms (plant/animal) interactions and non-conventional energy resources at Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati:

Eligibility:

  • Candidates should have obtained 55 per cent marks in aggregate (B or B+ only in the 10 point scale) in the master’s degree examination.
  • A candidate belonging to SC/ST who has obtained per cent marks in aggregate in master degree examination shall be eligible for admission and registration.

Selection Procedure:

  • If numbers of CSIR-UGC NET/ DBT-JRF/ ICMR-JRF /ICAR-JRF qualified applicants are more than the available PhD positions, selection will be based on only interview with the NET/JRF qualified candidates.
  • Selected candidates will be informed to join the PhD programme of IASST within a week time from the date of announcement of result.
  • Candidates are requested to refer to the institute’s website www.iasst.gov.in for application form and PhD notifications.

How to apply:

  • Application should be typed on A4-size plain paper in the prescribed format.
  • Applications can also be sent to [email protected], by e-mail with scan copy of required enclosures.
  • Each page of the typed application form should be signed by the candidate. No application fee will be charged by the Institute.
  • Applications should be accompanied by attested copies of certificates and mark sheets mentioning the division obtained. Two recent passport size photographs should be enclosed. One of these should be signed by the candidate and pasted on the application form.
  • The candidates must provide their mobile number and correct e-mail address as most of the correspondence will be done by these media.

Subjects Offered:
The subjects offered include degrees in Engineering and Technology, Science and Humanities, Management Sciences and Architecture and Planning.

Eligibility:

  • Master’s Degree of Anna University or any other qualification recognized as equivalent there to in the fields of study notified from time to time by this University. Specific educational qualifications are given in Clause 2.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology of the University or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study with a minimum of 15 years of R & D Experience in National Research Laboratories / Public sector undertakings and with minimum of three publications in referred impact factor journals or two approved international patents in the last five years.
  • A minimum of 55% marks or CGPA of 5.5 on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination (50% marks or CGPA of 5.0 on a 10 point scale for SC/ST candidates).
  • The Clause 1.3 does not apply, if the qualifying degree is M.S (By Research) of this University or recognized as equivalent.
