Eligibility:
Minimum qualification for admission to the PGDM program at the Institute is three / four years bachelor’s degree in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities with minimum 60% marks (50% for ST/SC candidates) or equivalent grade. However preference will be given to Engineering, Economics, Commerce, Management and Computer Science graduates and candidates with relevant work experience.

Candidates appearing for final year or final semester of their graduate degree examination in academic year 2013-14 are also eligible to appear for the admission process. Such candidates, if called for interview, should submit the copy of admit card or a letter from the principal of the college where they are studying to that effect. Such candidates if finally selected at XISS, Ranchi must clear their Graduation examination with minimum 60% marks (50% for ST/SC candidates) or equivalent grade by August 2014.

How to Apply: The candidates will have to apply separately at XISS, Ranchi. A candidate can apply for maximum any 2 (Two) specializations. The institute will accept only online registrations. Candidates will have to submit separate application for different entrance exams i.e. if a candidate wants to apply through both XAT 2014 and CAT 2013, she/he will have to submit two different online applications at XISS by making separate payments for both the applications. Application fee is Rs. 1,500 + Service Charges for One Specialization and Rs. 2,000 + Services Charges for Two Specialization. Application fee can be paid online through net banking/debit card/credit card or any other online option. Application fee can also be paid via bank draft, drawn in favour of “Xavier Institute of Social Service” payable at Ranchi. The bank draft for Rs. 1500 (for one specialization) or Rs. 2000 (for two specialization) can be drawn on any bank. The draft must be sent to the institute address given below within 15 days of application. The candidate must write his/her name and XAT/CAT/CMAT ID/Roll No. on the back of the bank draft.

Admission Procedure: Three-stage admission process is followed by the Institute as per the guidelines of AICTE. These stages are:

A candidate desirous of seeking admission in the Institute will have to appear in an all India level management admission test organized by XLRI Jamshedpur (XAT 2014 on January 5th 2014) or IIM Indore (CAT 2013 between Oct 16 to Nov 11, 2013) or AICTE, Delhi (CMAT Sept 2013). Karnataka State Open University: Ph. D

Applications are invited for the admission in Ph. D in various courses through Karnataka State Open University (KSOU).

Eligibility: 

  • Candidates with Master’s Degree from Karnataka State Open University or any other University, with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/CAT-1 and Physically Challenged candidates) in aggregate or equivalent grade, can apply.
  • The teachers employed in University / affiliated colleges before 31-03-1992 and are continuing in service on a regular basis shall be permitted if they have a minimum of 50% of marks at the Master’s Degree level.

Selection Process:

  • Selection of candidates for PhD programmes is based on Centralized Entrance Test, Interview and marks obtained in the Qualifying Examinations in the Ratio of 50:50 and overall minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/CAT-1) and as per Merit Cum Reservation Policy.
  • Those Candidates who have qualified for the U.G.C/ CSIR (JRF) Examination / NET / SLET / GATE / Teacher Fellowship holder / M. Phil degree holder and candidates who are working under sponsored Major Research Projects are exempted from the Entrance Test. The selection of these candidates will be based on their performance in the interview and marks obtained in the Qualifying Examinations in the Ratio of 50:50.

BITP-2013-14 at BCIL

Biotech Industrial Training Programme (BITP) is a programme conducted by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, managed by Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL).
Objective: The objective of BITP is to provide practical industrial exposure for six months to students to improve job prospectus and to help biotech industry to identify prospective manpower. During the training stipend of Rs. 8000/- per month is paid to trainees and bench fee is paid to companies to cover expenses towards training.

DBT invites applications from the eligible candidates to provide practical training to for a period of 6 months.
Eligibility: B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc/M.Tech/M.V.Sc in Biotechnology from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade completed in the year 2012 or 2013 are eligible to apply.

National University of Educational Planning and Administration invites applications from the eligible candidates for admission to M.Phil. /Ph.D./ Part-time Ph.D.Programme for the Academic Year 2013-2014:

Eligibility Criteria: Full-time Programmes
(a) A candidate seeking admission to the M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes shall have a minimum of 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST candidates and Persons with Disabilities) or its equivalent grade in Master’s Degree in social sciences and allied disciplines from a recognized university. Candidates possessing Master’s degree in other areas may also be considered if he/she has teaching experience or experience of working in the area of educational policy, planning and administration.
(b) A candidate seeking admission to Ph.D. programme shall have an M.Phil. degree in an area closely related to educational planning and administration and/or exceptionally brilliant academic record coupled with publications of high quality.
(c) M.Phil. graduates of NUEPA will be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. Programme after due scrutiny by a Selection/Admission Committee, if they obtain a FGPA of 6 or above on the ten point scale.

Part-time Programme
A candidate seeking admission to Part-time Ph.D. programme is required to meet the following criteria:
