The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai through its 9 schools and 5 independent centres, along with campuses in Tuljapur (Maharashtra), Guwahati and Hyderabad, invites applications for 44 highly competitive, socially relevant M.A./ M.Sc./M.RH./M.H.A. Programmes in inter and trans-disciplinary areas of social, health, management, development, habitat and climate sciences.
TISS will conduct its Computer based National Entrance test (TISS-NET) on December 15, 2013, in 31 centres for the applicants to this programme.
The entrance test have objective type bit questions and will have questions related to Social Sensitivity, Knowledge on Contemporary issues, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning.
a) Candidates having a bachelor’s degree with minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent ( under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a recognized university are eligible to apply
b) Candidates who will be able to complete all the requirements of their final year Bachelor’s Degree examinations by Saturday, June 14, 2014 are also eligible to apply to all the programmes except School of Health System Studies and School of Education(Elementary) programmes.
In case of (b), admission to any of the Master’s Degree Programmes of the Institute will be provisional. In case the examination process for the final year is not over before June 14, 2014, the provisional admission stands cancelled. If a provisionally admitted student fails in the final year examination, the offer of provisional admission automatically stands cancelled.
