Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test 2013: BTech in several Branches

Applications are invited from eligible candidatesof Rajasthan domicile including the wards of Kashmiri  Migrants for the registration of Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test – 2013 for admission to first year of undergraduate  programmes leading to Bachelor’s degree in different disciplines of Engineering (B.Tech. / B.E.) in various Govt. aided and  Private unaided technical institutions of Rajasthan (except BITS Pilani, MNIT Jaipur and other Deemed & Private Universities) for the session 2013-2014:


(i) The minimum academic qualification for admission to B.Tech./B.E. program in Rajasthan is a pass with atleast 45%  marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to “SC/ST/ Non Creamy Layer OBC/ Non Creamy Layer SBC” of  Rajasthan state) in the subjects combination as given below taken together, in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII)  of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of  Secondary Education, Rajasthan/ Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Age Limit :

Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1988 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled  Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e.  SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1983 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the  Secondary Education mark sheet / certificate only will be taken as authentic.

* Date of closure for filling of the online application : April 8th, 2013

* RPET-2013 will be conducted on MAY 23rd, 2013 (Thursday) from 09.00 a.m. to 12.00 Noon

How to Apply:

The applications for RPET-2013 will be accepted online only. The process of online submission of application form for  RPET-2013 shall be carried out through any of the following websites :- 1. http://techedu.rajasthan.gov.in 2. www.rpetexam.com 3.www.rpetexam.org


Application Form Fees:

i. Cost of RPET-2013 Application Form is Rs. 800/- including the examination fees of RPET-2013.

ii. Candidates will contact any e-Mitra/CSC kiosk center authorized by the Government of Rajasthan and deposit a sum  of Rs. 810/- (Rs. 800/- against Application form Fees and Rs. 10/- for e-Mitra service charges).

iii. The kiosk will generate a 16-digit Token number for the candidate using e-Mitra portal and issue a receipt containing  this Token number. Candidates are advised to keep this receipt safely with them for further use.

iv. In order to activate the online application form for entering the required details, the candidate must enter his/her token  no. in the appropriate column of the application form. The online application form will not accept entries without Token number.


Admission Card :

Admission Card for RPET-2013 will be uploaded on web portal of RPET-2013. No admission card will be sent  personally to the candidate. The Coordinator RPET-2013 reserve the right to withdraw the permission  granted by mistake to a candidate who is not eligible to appear at the RPET- 2013 even though the  Admission Card has been issued and produced by the candidate before the Centre Superintendent of RPET-2013.

Examination Scheme:

RPET-2013 shall consist of single examination of three hours duration containing 40 objective type questions in  each of the subjects of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. The total no. of questions will be 120 carrying one  mark each. There is no negative marking for wrong answer. The questions in the test booklet will be in Hindi as  well as in English. However, in case of any difference in Hindi & English versions of question, the questions in  English version shall be treated as valid

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs), Presently the JNVs are spread in 27 States and 7 Union Territories. These are co-educational residential schools fully financed and administered by Government of India through an autonomous organization, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.


Admissions in JNVs are made through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) at Class 6. The medium of instruction in JNVs is the mother tongue or regional language up to Class 8 and English thereafter for Maths and Science and Hindi for Social Science. Students of the JNVs appear for 10th and 12th class examinations of the Central Board of Secondary Education. While education in the schools is free including boarding, lodging, uniforms and textbooks, a nominal fee of Rs.200/- per month will have to be paid by the children from IX to XII class. SC/ST, Girls and Physically Handicapped and from the families whose income is below poverty line are exempted from payment of fees.


State wise JNVS:

Accordingly to the Navodaya Vidyalaya Scheme, one Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is to be set up in each District in a phased manner. At present, there are 595 Vidyalayas are sanctioned in 27 States and 7 Union Territories out of which 583 are functioning.


Exam Conducted on February 10th, 2013 at 9.30 A.M. in the State of Andhra  Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, West Bengal (except Darjeeling) Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh (except Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmour, Kullu, Lahaul & Spiti and Shimla Districts), Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh (except Tawang District), Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep and Pondicherry .


Result of the Selection Test

The result of JNVST 2013 is expected to be announced by end of May of the year of admission. The result will be displayed in the offices of the concerned (i) Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (ii) District Education Officer (iii) District Magistrate (iv) Deputy Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti of the Region. The Principal, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya concerned, will also inform the selected candidates through registered post.

CTET – 2013: Appointing School Teacher (Classes I to VIII)

Applications are invited from all the eligible persons for appointment as a school teacher for classes I to VIII through Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET – 2013) on 28th July 2013 conducts by Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi:

Eligibility: Candidates having qualifications as mentioned below are eligible for appearing in the CTET:

Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V: Primary Stage
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (OR)

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (OR)
