Christ University, Bangalore invites applications for the PhD Programme under various disciplines for the academic year 2013-14.

 

Eligibility

  • A pass mark with a minimum of 55 per cent in a postgraduate programme and M.Phil. or equivalent Grade Point Average.
  • Exemption from M.Phil. may be given to candidates in the disciplines of Law, Engineering and other specialized areas of study, as per the University norms.
  • Candidates who have cleared JRF may also be exempted from M.Phil.

How to apply:

  • Applications are to be made online at http://www.christuniversity.in/azadmission.php#14
  • Application Form of the University, along with the Research Proposal containing the details as per the prescribed format in about 5 pages or 1500 words, submitted in three sets of hard copy and one set of soft copy, together with a non-refundable registration fee of Rs.1000.
  • Within 30 days of receipt of application, the candidate will be invited for an Entrance Test and Personal Interview.
  • On receipt of the application the Centre for Research will send a copy of the proposal (without the cover note) to each member of the interview panel to enable their review.
  • The interview will be conducted by the panel of experts (PhD Admission Committee) on the date notified by the University.

Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology: B.Tech. Programmes

Applications are invited for admission to the following programs starting July, 2013 at Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT), Ahmedabad:
Programmes:

1. B.Tech. (Information and Communication Technology (ICT) – 240 seats
2. B.Tech. (Honours in ICT with minor in Computational Science) – 60 seats

Eligibility:

  • Candidates must pass in the 12th standard or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / Bio-technology / Computer Science / Biology.
  • Candidates born on or after 01 October 1988.
  • Candidates must have appeared for JEE Main-2013 Examination.

Gujarat Category: Fifty percent of the above seats will be filled in through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Government of Gujarat.

All India Categories: The remaining fifty percent will be filled in directly by DA-IICT.

Selection Process: Short-listed candidates will be called for counseling at DA-IICT and selection for admission will-be based on the All India Rank of JEE Main-2013.

Eligibility:

  • LLB – For general category candidates, one must be a graduate/postgraduate degree with 50% marks for general, relaxation up to 5% for PH candidates, 45% marks for widows and wards of ex-servicemen, for serving personnel who are recipients of Gallantry Awards (CW) and OBC candidates, and the degree with pass marks for SC/ST candidates

M.Phil/ Ph.D/ Part-time Ph.D Pgm AT National University of Educational Planning and Administration

National University of Educational Planning and Administration invites applications from the eligible candidates for admission to M.Phil. /Ph.D./ Part-time Ph.D.Programme for the Academic Year 2013-2014:

Eligibility Criteria: Full-time Programmes
(a) A candidate seeking admission to the M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes shall have a minimum of 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST candidates and Persons with Disabilities) or its equivalent grade in Master’s Degree in social sciences and allied disciplines from a recognized university. Candidates possessing Master’s degree in other areas may also be considered if he/she has teaching experience or experience of working in the area of educational policy, planning and administration.
(b) A candidate seeking admission to Ph.D. programme shall have an M.Phil. degree in an area closely related to educational planning and administration and/or exceptionally brilliant academic record coupled with publications of high quality.
(c) M.Phil. graduates of NUEPA will be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. Programme after due scrutiny by a Selection/Admission Committee, if they obtain a FGPA of 6 or above on the ten point scale.

Part-time Programme
A candidate seeking admission to Part-time Ph.D. programme is required to meet the following criteria:
(i) Should possess the educational qualifications as mentioned in Para (a) above;
(ii) Currently, should be in full-time employment;
(iii) Should be a senior level educational functionary with a minimum of five years work experience in teaching, educational planning and administration.

Mode of Selection: The University reserves the right to decide the number of seats to be filled in the year 2012-13; the criteria for screening of applications; and the selection procedure of candidates for admission to its M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes. The mode of selection of candidates will be as under:
Initial short-listing of applications will be carried out on the basis of relevance and quality of the brief write-up (in the prescribed format) in the proposed area of research to be submitted along with the application form. Short-listed candidates will be required to appear in a written test and those qualifying in written test will be subjected to personal interviews to assess their motivation and potential leading to final short- listing and preparation of panel of selected candidates, in order of merit.

How to Apply:
Candidates may apply in the prescribed form for admission to M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes of the University along with three copies of the brief write-up (in the prescribed format) on the proposed research topic of a contemporary issue within the broad framework of educational policy, planning and administration. The application form and the Prospectus can be obtained from NUEPA by remitting a sum of Rs.200/- ( Rs.100/- for SC/ST candidates) by demand draft in favour of Registrar, NUEPA, payable at New Delhi if required by Post or purchased in person.
