The campus placement at RGUKT for its first batch of students who were admitted in the year 2008 into the 6- Year Integrated B.Tech Programme has started at its three campuses.  The beginning has seen major IT companies like Infosys completing the recruitment, Tech Mahindra initiating its process and many others lined up. The number of students placed in the first instance itself in Basara, Nuzvid and RK Valley campus is 51, 64 and 71 respectively. The recruiters are praising the technical and analytical skills of the students and several companies are going to visit the university campuses in the coming months.

According to Dr. Amarnath Reddy, Placement Cell Incharge, several other companies like TCS, Amara Group of Companies, InfoTech Enterprises, ITC and IVIZ Techno Solutions Pvt Ltd lined up for campus placements within the next one month itself. In the earlier campus placement drive held in the month of October, The FMC Technologies selected two students with an annual package of 5.2 lakhs.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. R.V. Raja Kumar says “We have established quality engineering education in the university with highly motivated faculty, which was picked up selectively from those available locally as well as those from the premier institutes of the country. Choosing meritocracy as the main benchmark, we had to go for a lot of innovations while imparting the engineering education and technical skills to match the scale (RGUKT’s first batch had 6000 students whose annual household income is less than 1 Lakh rupees). Our students’ technical skills would be further visible when other engineering companies come for campus placements and their performance in the competitive examinations like GATE is reported.”
